[05:09:18] <vishwin> something's actually been wrong with the drive during my *first* *month* of ownership, as it it usually hangs the POST for quite a bit

[05:10:10] <vishwin> sometimes the BIOS doesn't detect the drive but the linux kernel does, which is fine by me
[05:10:33] <vishwin> but now sometimes even the kernel doesn't even detect it, hence why I'm only acting on RMAing it now
[05:11:09] <vishwin> ATA errors have also pretty much limited its throughput to SATA I speeds
[05:12:12] <vishwin> …so even one pass of wipe is gonna take awhile…

[14:35:09] <m0shbear> less bus pollution and about the only way you can hope of doing wipes for ssds since the usual risks wear levelling
